Betsy Green is President of the BG Consultants Group, serving as a frontline communicator for clients to the Georgia General Assembly. She is a seasoned professional who specializes in building relationships. Her early career gave her a grounding in development, fundraising and lobbying skills that were pivotal for her role of non-profit executive leadership. For more than 20 years, Betsy successfully guided the Georgia Youth Science & Technology Center, a statewide science, technology, engineering, and mathematics supplemental education program that promotes interest in STEM related careers. The organization operates on both public and private funding, which Betsy secured year after year through persistence and persuasive people skills among public and private partners. BG Consultants Group has nearly three decades of significant knowledge, expertise, and credentials in government relations, non-profit and conflict resolution management. Ms. Green has the expertise to build the capacity of an organization to fulfill its mission.
Betsy is a past president of the Georgia Education Advancement Council, who honored her as the 2010 Fundraiser of the Year. She is an alumnae of Leadership Cobb 2000. Ms. Green holds a Master of Public Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Ethics and Leadership from Kennesaw State University. She is also a registered neutral with the state of Georgia.
Ms. Green is particularly committed to rural development and broadening the pipeline of a well-prepared technological workforce to compete in the 21st century global marketplace.
